Whether they are used as dust lights, reverse lights, f@wk off lights or all three; this location is far superior to anywhere else others have mounted them.

Why is our mount far superior to those not timid of drilling through the bedside?

Our mount hugs the body tightly, giving it a more OEM streamlined look and not standing out to preying eyes. They don't stick up to get caught on loading cargo into the bed and they're at the rear most part of the vehicle to shine optimal light up, down, side to side. It doesn't matter what hill you're driving over or how low the car behind you is, this will shine on everything!

These light mounts do NOT make the rear of the fender wider as they lay on that factory width and are designed facing the lens slightly down and outward which achieves a few things!

With that down and outward angle, this helps in the following ways:

Improving beam width for seeing more while reversing
Improving visibility and safety as a dust light making the reflector visible in a 200° side-to-side angle
Decreased blinding of following drivers down dusty trails since they are not pointed straight back

Mounting these lights takes about an hour, and per mount involves drilling (4) small holes for the m4 screws and (1) 2.5" hole for the Baja Designs S1 light to pass through. Our kit includes the Baja Designs S1 Pair, a centering jig for the hole saw, The exterior OCD mount, a backing plate that sits inside the fender making bolting down easy, our OCD Flush Mount plate, the Ninja Plate that presses onto the flush mount to hide the bolt heads and provide a cleaner look and the Baja Designs Universal Wiring harness that comes with the S1 Pair.

*2002 was a mixed year. 1500s went to a newer body style but the 2500/3500s kept the same 2nd Gen body. If your 2002 looks like the 94-01 body, these light mounts WILL work 100%.

Permanent cuts into the bedside are required to mount these lights. Four bolt holes per mount and one large hole for the S1 body.

Due to the custom aspect of this application and various uses of these lights, we only include the wiring that Baja Designs includes when you purchase the S1 light. THIS WILL NOT BE PLUG AND PLAY FOR MOST USERS. Customers will need to wire these lights based on their own needs. This may involve the customer providing their own wiring and wiring components to complete the job.
